Our Story

Montfort Political Consulting was founded in 2018 by Joel Montfort.  He saw a need for innovative consulting in North Texas and created an independent firm designed to offer Democratic political candidates the benefit of his deep understanding of our local political landscape. He has worked with dozens of candidates to help them reach voters all over the DFW area.

 Joel's Political Experience

 Democratic Precinct Chair in Richardson, TX (2016- 2019)

• Served on the Collin County Democratic Party Activists and Recruitment Committee and
• Collin County Democratic Party Candidate Recruitment Committee

Texas Democratic Party Executive Committeeman- Senate District 8 (2018- 2020)

• Served on the Nominations Committee
• Served on the Legislative Committee

Founder and Past President of the Richardson Area Democrats

• raised over $25K for getting out-the-vote efforts in Richardson
• coordinated efforts to recruit candidates running for local races that have produced results at the city level

President of Plano Area Democrats

• revitalized group and grew membership
• Created twitter and Instagram channels
• mailed out 3K postcards to voters with grassroots effort

Education

Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Art.

Master's Degree in Political Science Legislative studies from the University of Texas at Dallas.
